CHARACTER SKETCH

The Protagonist of this film is unnamed, and is thought to be around 12-14 years old. The character does not have much dialogue and remains silent throughout most of the film. These details add to her lack of identity and help the viewers foreshadow her role in the opening.

“Ransom [1996]” - Sean Mullen : A young boy displays helplessness and fear after being held hostage by a group of criminals for ransom. Our protagonist relates to him as they’re both kept in harsh conditions and are unaware of their surroundings. 

“The Call [2013]” - Casey Welson : This character shares the same age demographic as our protagonist. She also presents emotions of fear, urgency and helplessness.
