shot of the shadow on the wall ; leaves the audience to assume what is to happen next 


- the closing of the opening scene displays the title of the film "The Accountant"

- sound of traffic (cars rushing by)
- gunshots
- screams (a man talking/crying)

diegetic sound : 

- instrumental music plays towards the end of the opening 
- creating suspense (the music gains momentum to further increase the suspense)


editing : 


- The man's face wasn't shown the whole time.
- There were medium close ups of his legs.
- Shots were taken from his point of view.
- the man's identity is kept hidden through out the scene to maintain secrecy.
- The setting is what appears to be a wrecked restaurant ; broken glass everywhere ; tables and chairs.
- Natural light is utilised in this scene in the first (outdoor) shot and later when the sunlight is peering      through the windows in later shots. 
- Dull tones mostly consisting of browns are seen in this scene.
